1: Arrival & Transfer to Sigiriya

Upon arrival, a representative from Off2SriLanka Tours will warmly welcome you with garlands and introduce your chauffeur guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey. You will then travel to Habarana, the heart of the Cultural Triangle (approximately 4 hours). Check-in is scheduled for afternoon, followed by a visit to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can explore ancient rock art, water gardens, and enjoy breathtaking views from the summit (2-hour visit | USD 35 per person). In the evening, unwind with a soothing Ayurveda body massage.
Overnight stay in Habarana. Special information: The visit to Lion Rock takes 2-3 hours. Explore the water garden, boulder garden, Sigiriya Frescoes, and mirror wall. After the Lion Paw, the steep 30-minute climb includes steps and walkways. Those who prefer not to climb can wait at the Lion Paw.

Polonnaruwa ruins & Minneriya Safari.

In the morning, visit the Polonnaruwa World Heritage site, one of Sri Lanka's ancient capitals, renowned for its well- preserved ruins, including palaces, temples, and impressive statues. This historic site offers a fascinating glimpse into the island's past. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari in one of the nearby wildlife parks: Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Eco Park. These parks are famous for their large elephant herds, particularly during the annual elephant gathering season. The safari offers an incredible opportunity to observe wildlife in their natural habitat, with the chance to spot elephants, birds, and other animals.

Sigiriya to Kandy

In the morning, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Kandy, with a stop at the Dambulla Royal Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient Buddha statues and stunning cave paintings. Upon reaching Kandy, explore the city's highlights, including the serene Kandy Lake and scenic viewpoints that offer panoramic views of the surrounding area. In the evening, visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, another UNESCO site, which houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha, making it a significant pilgrimage destination for Buddhists from around the world. Overnight stay in Kandy. Special information: For the cave temple & temple of the tooth visit will need to remove your shoes (leaving socks on is acceptable, and recommended on hot days) and ensure you have your shoulders and legs covered.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya.

Travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (approximately 2.5 hours). En route, visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about the tea production process and enjoy a fresh cup of Ceylon tea. Next, explore the Seetha Amman Temple and Hanuman Temple, which are steeped in mythology from the Hindu epic Ramayana. In the afternoon, discover the charming highlights of Nuwara Eliya, including Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, Hakgala Gardens, and Moon Plains. Special information: Please note that the roads are narrow and winding, particularly in the hill country, but our experienced drivers will ensure a smooth and safe journey. Travel to the airport, a 6-hour journey covering 180 km. If time allows, you can enjoy an exciting white-water rafting experience at Kithulgala. Additionally, there will be a chance for a brief stopover to admire the beautiful St. Clair and Devon Falls along the way.
